Comfort tour Moselle Cycle Route

Day 1 Arrival in Trier
The Roman monuments of Augusta Treverorum are a UNESCO World Heritage Site: Porta Nigra, amphitheatre and the Roman bridge, across which cars are still allowed to drive.

Day 2 Trier - Mülheim, approx. 55 km/34 mi
Follow the bends of the Moselle through vineyards and villages. Neumagen-Drohn is the oldest wine town in Germany.

Day 3 Mülheim - Traben-Trarbach, approx. 30 km/19 mi
Try the famous Bernkastler Doctor Riesling and stroll through the historic town centre of Bernkastel-Kues with its many colourful half-timbered houses.

Day 4 Traben-Trarbach - Cochem, approx. 55 km /34 mi
Today, you’ll once again cycle below famous vineyards. The half-timbered houses in Enkirch, Beilstein and Metternich Castle are worth seeing. A stop in Cochem with the Imperial Castle and the Enderttor Gate, perfectly rounds off the day.

Day 5 Cochem - Koblenz, approx. 50 km /31 mi
Take the chairlift to the Pinnerkreuz and take in the magnificent view before cycling to the university town of Koblenz. The Old Castle, the Electoral Palace and the cultural centre Forum Confluentes with the Mittelrhein Museum await you. The Ehrenbreitstein Fortress offers a great view of the city and the Deutsches Eck (German Corner), a headland where the Moselle joind the Rhine.

Day 6 Departure or extension
Your tour ends after breakfast, but why not extend your comfort tour on the "Moselle Cycle Route".

Arrival to the "Moselle Cycle Route":

  • Parking in Trier:
    Public garage at the hotel, costs approx. 15 €/day, no reservation possible, details in the travel documents.
  • Arrival by train:
    Trier Central station
  • Arrival at Frankfurt am Main airport:
    Distance to Passau approx. 200 km, excellent train connections, journey takes approx. 3,5 hours.
    Train ticket price per person: approx. EUR 50
    Rental car, one way per vehicle: EUR 110-130

Return transfer:

  • Return by Minibus (optional):
    Collection at hotel, departure approx. 9 am, duration approx. 4 hours, must be booked together with holiday.

  • Return transfer by train on your own steam:
    Good connections via Koblenz main train station (Koblenz Hauptbahnhof), no changes, duration approx. 2 hours, Costs approx. EUR 25
